A while ago, I took the New Oriental Express tourist train with my friends to Xinjiang for a 14 day trip. Starting from Urumqi, we first visited the two major lakes of Tianshan Tianchi and Kanas, and then visited Kazakh folk villages and Wucaitan. Of course, we didn't forget to check in to the popular online Sailimu Lake and Nalati Grassland. Compared to the natural scenery in northern Xinjiang, the cultural atmosphere in southern Xinjiang is also good. The old streets of Rehstan and the ancient city of Kashgar are easy to stroll around, and some handicrafts on the street can be taken home as souvenirs!
